  1. The Dimona Deception 1956–1969 Israel built nuclear weapons while systematically deceiving American inspectors at Dimona, using a fake control room and bricked-up elevator shafts to hide a plutonium reprocessing plant. The deception is documented in 32 declassified U.S. government records. →
  2. The NUMEC / Apollo Affair 1965–2026 Hundreds of pounds of weapons-grade uranium went missing from a Pennsylvania nuclear plant in the 1960s. The CIA, after detecting uranium of American naval-fuel signature in the environment near Israel's Dimona reactor, came to believe diversion was likely. Nobody was ever charged, nothing was ever proven, and key files are still classified. →
  3. The Iran Double Standard 1968–2026 Iran joined the Non-Proliferation Treaty, accepted inspections, and has been sanctioned and bombed.   4. The Symington and Glenn Amendments 1976–2026 Federal law says aid to non-safeguarded nuclear states shall be terminated. It was enforced against Pakistan and India. For Israel it has never fired, because no president has ever made the finding that would trigger it, and a 2012 directive forbids officials from confirming what they know. →
  5. The Vela Incident 1979–2026 On September 22, 1979, an American satellite recorded the double flash of an atmospheric nuclear explosion over the South Atlantic. The CIA put it at '90% plus.' Carter's diary recorded his scientists' growing belief that Israel had done it. The White House told the public a meteoroid had probably hit the satellite. →

The Vanunu Case 1986–2004 The technician who exposed Israel's nuclear arsenal was lured to Rome by a Mossad honey trap, drugged, shipped home, and imprisoned for 18 years, 11 of them in solitary.
